Masilok Surf Resort boasts some great uncrowded waves directly in front of the accommodation as well as being only 15 -30 mins from the Mentawai’s incredible surf breaks. With over 20 waves to choose from within the playgrounds area, we have a selection of lefts and rights, fast and hollow, but also small and fun ones to suit all surfing levels. These are all easily accessible by the Masilok fast boats, giving guests a great variety of options.
Our surf guides will help you get the most out of your time on and off the water. Whenever you’re in the water you’ll have one of our guides there with you to not only ensure your safety but provide advice on where and when you should go.
The use of the surf boats is included in all packages making trips to the waves quick and easy. No bookings, no extra charges, no wait times.
The Island
Masilok is the perfect place to forget about the world. Our first Beach House is hidden among palm trees with a full capacity of up to 6 people. Perfect for small group bookings or families.
The environment is very diverse with pristine white sandy beaches out the front and a mangrove system out the back, perfect for fishing. We are lucky to have a hand full of waves out the front that are not as well-known as some of the big-name breaks. These waves work on a south- southwest swell. Most of the time there’s no one out on the water.

Accommodation
If you’re looking for a secluded surf holiday with a difference, then this destination is for you.
The accommodation package includes your own a personal chef, boat, and surf guide. Perfect for surfers travelling with friends or a family.
We currently have 1 bungalow situated a few steps away from the beach. The bungalow has 4 private rooms that are kitted out with King Single beds and a loft bedroom upstairs with a King Double.
Speed Boat
Masilok Surf Resort owns a very fast wooden Indonesian speed boat named Mr Sexy. He comes equipped with twin-engines ready to take you to your destination of choice.
Our speed boat is skippered by a very experienced crew and equipped with adequate safety equipment.

The Vision
We are in the process of making a conscious effort to provide accommodation and surfing guidance that caters for the adaptive surfing community.
We have ensured that rooms and bathrooms have designed for easy access. Recent events with myself and a good friend of ours has left us with disabilities that are irreversible. Masilok Resort welcomes guests of all levels and disabilities. It would be a pleasure to assist.
We invite organisations and suppliers to partner with us on this journey to help develop the first resort in the Mentawai that caters for adaptive and injured surfers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will you be there to pick us up at the airport and take us to our hotel and Ferry transfer?
Yes, definitely . Please email your itinerary to admin@masilokresort.com. Make sure you arrive at least a day before the booked dates. The ferry leaves to Siberut at 6.00am in the morning. We will pick you up at your hotel and make sure you get on the ferry on time.
Is the accommodation supplied to me as part of the package during my stay at Padang?
No, you need to arrange this yourself. There is range of options depending on your budget. Book yourself at least one night’s accommodation the night before the ferry crossing. Please don’t forget to book a second nights accommodation on the return date.

Do I need to organise a visa?
Depending on your country of origin it’s usually a simple process of paying for it on arrival. There are two options: a Free 30-day Visa or a 500,000 rupiah or $35-US extendable Visa.
-It can also be done by a e-VOA is a single-entry visa. If you purchase an e-VOA online, you must enter Indonesia within 90 days of purchasing it and all the information must be the same as the information on your passport, it cannot be changed after it’s processed.
1. Visit visa-online.imigrasi.go.id or evisa.imigrasi.go.id
2. Register and enter your data and upload required documents.
3. Wait for the email notification which contains the username and password.
4. Apply for Visa.
5. Fill in the required information in the provided form.
6. Make sure all information is correct, then proceed to payment.
7. Choose a payment method, either a debit or credit card within the Visa, MasterCard, or JCB network.
8. Fill in all the details on the payment page and verify your payment as requested.
The current requirements and conditions for obtaining a Visa in Indonesia are:
Passport validity minimum 6 months. Proof of flight ticket leaving Indonesia
How do I pay?
There are a few ways to pay. It can be done by direct bank transfer, Wise transfer or by credit card. We will also take cash on the island for additional purchases E.g. beer. A 50% deposit will be required to secure your accommodation, this is refundable for up to 8 weeks prior to staying.
